Apple informed Pottsgrove administration that the Digital Learning Environment (DiLE) program at Pottsgrove Middle and High Schools has been selected as an Apple Distinguished Program for 2016–2018, a two-year designation. Pottsgrove was invited to apply this past February. The application process included the development of an iBook that tells the Pottsgrove DiLE story in five chapters corresponding with Apple's Five Best Practices: Visionary Leadership, Innovative Teaching & Learning, Ongoing Professional Learning, Compelling Evidence of Success, and Flexible Learning Environments. Pottsgrove's iBook consisted, in large measure, of student-written articles and original art. As part of the recognition, the iBook will soon be published and available for download.
