    Be sure to check your schedule some time this morning to ensure you are headed to the right location for PRIDE.

    Next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday we will be holding our

    Mid-Term Exams from 7:30 - 11:00am. Wednesday will be the English and Math exams, Thursday will be the Social Studies and Science exams, and Friday will be open for any exams that are missed due to absence or a conflict created by a student's class schedule.

    Please see the letter that is posted in the School Life group on Schoology for more details.

    If you have any questions about Mid-Terms don't hesitate to see on of the members of the principal team.

    Next Thurs, Jan 26th

    we will be hosting a Course Selection Night from 6:30 - 8:00pm for all students and their parents in grades 9, 10, and 11. The event will be held in and around the cafeteria.

    This will be an opportunity for you to meet and talk with teachers about the courses you are interested in taking so that they can answer any of the questions you might have.

    We look forward to seeing many of you on the 26th.

    ATTENTION POTTSGROVE

    Tickets will be on sale all This week for the

    Winter Ball in room 18 and at lunches.

      The Winter Ball will be held at the Springford Country club on February, 11th from 6-10:30.  Tickets are $40 dollars per person and includes appetizers, diner, desert, all beverages, dancing and fun!

      The first day of ticket sales will be for seniors only, the second day will be for both juniors and seniors.  Sales will be open to all students on Jan 19th.  Sales will continue until Jan 27th or until sold out.  Please see Mrs. Renn in room 18 with any questions.

    Pottsgrove High School's Gay Straight Alliance called Student Organization of United People (aka SOUP) is asking for your participation and support of No Name-Calling Week which starts on

    Monday, Jan 16th, Martin Luther King, Jr Day and ends on Friday, Jan 20th, which is the day of the US Presidential Inauguration.  

     

    No Name-Calling Week is an opportunity to challenge bullying and name calling across all communities.  Show your support to end bullying and name calling by participating in our Spirit Week and stopping by our table during lunches.

     

    Thursday: wear GREEN and avoid negative comments about disabilities and/or mental health issues

     

    Friday: wear RAINBOW or TYE-DYE and avoid LGBTQ+ slurs

     

    Always remember to treat others as you would like to be treated!!

    The Girls Basketball team will host Upper Merion this evening in an important Frontier Division game.

      Upper Merion is currently in first place in the Frontier Division with Pottsgrove one game behind.  The team would appreciate your support tonight.

    The Winter Track competed at Kutztown over this past weekend and at Albright College on Tuesday night.  Pottsgrove left it's mark at both meets as numerous Falcons placed in their events.

    Mia Rose placed 3rd in the high jump at Kutztown while where broke the school record, jumping 5 feet 3 inches.  She also won the triple jump. 

    Not to be outdone, freshman Becca Delp broke the school record in the 400 for the second time this year and came in second.

    At Albright Mia and Becca teamed up with

    Hannah Phillips and

    Amia Slade to win the mile relay. 

    The boys team of

    Ryan Curnew,

    Simon Keen,

    Jay Sisko and

    Avery Grant ran the race of the evening and beat the team from Wilson in the mile relay. 

    Great job by all. 

    Let's get ready for Kutztown this Saturday

    Today is the last day to submit PRIDE Period Change Forms.

    Students wanting to change groups can pick up the change form between classes or at the beginning or end of the day in the main office.

    All change forms must be signed by the related teachers and are due back to the main office by the end of the day today.

    After the end of the day today, changes will not be made until the next whole school change coming up in the spring. Be sure to check your schedule today or tomorrow morning to ensure you are heading to the right group on Thursday.

    If you have any questions feel free to see Mr Daney during lunches.

    Congratulations to

    Emma Burrus,

    Diane DiLabio,

    Alec Dorris and

    Joe Kelley for participating in the Pennsylvania Music Educator Association's District Chorus this past weekend.

    These students competed against over 300 students from surrounding schools to earn a spot in the festival. At the festival, students re-auditioned for Region Chorus, and three students were admitted into the next round: Emma Burrus, placing 6th as an Alto 1,

    Diane DiLabio, placing 1st as a Soprano 1, and

    Joe Kelley, placing 1st as a Tenor 2.

    Please make sure to congratulate all of these students for their success!!

    The Maxwell Football Club as a recipient of a Mini Maxwell Award. 

    Ryan was honored at a banquet on Thursday night where the top players from eastern Pennsylvania were honored. 

    Congrats again Ryan.
